The Medical University of Graz comprises of three centers for basic research, four preclinical institutes, 19 university clinics, one clinical institute and a purpose-built Center for Medical Research equipped with highly specialized core facilities as well as lab and office space for research projects. The number of employees is about 2.500. Approximately 4.300 students are enrolled in the study programs (Human Medicine, Dentistry, Doctoral Programs) and post-graduate programs. The University runs internationally accredited PhD Programs which offer top-level training and hands-on research. Research activities at the Medical University of Graz cover a broad spectrum in clinical and pre-clinical fields. The University has been participating in numerous EU-funded projects (FP5, 6, 7 and Horizon2020, Joint Action, JPI/HDL) and acts as coordinator of various large research initiatives.
MUG will lead the pilot implementation in Styria and will be coordinating WP4 “Materials and tools supporting teachers in the curriculum implementation”, developing the Educational Toolkit Platform, the Teaching Toolkit and Multilingual Open Contents. It will also be leading the first Task of WP 2 “Collecting evidence of skills needs and good practices“, searching for skills deficits among chefs in healthcare and collecting best practices in education and training for chefs in healthcare.
