University of Algarve

The University of Algarve (UALG) is a Portuguese public higher education institution located in the southernmost region of Portugal. UALG’s research develops in different scientific domains ranging from health sciences to engineering, social siences and economy. According to Times Higher Education, within Portuguese universities, UALG has the highest position in respect to international outlook parameters (international co-authorship of scientific papers, the percentage of international staff and students). UAlg has several research centres, state-of-the-art laboratories with more than 600 agreements and collaborative projects with international institutions worldwide. The Centre for Biomedical Research (CBMR) is dedicated to understanding the biological processes underlying human health, disease and development. The CBMR is a founding member of the Algarve Biomedical Centre (ABC) – a consortium also bringing together the The Univeristy Hospital Center of Algarve (CHUA) and the Universidade do Algarve (UALG).

Role in the project

UALG will ensure the quality of the project, through an intense collaboration and exchange between the WPs of Management (WP1), Quality Assurance (WP8) and Evaluation (WP6). This task includes the development of an evaluation and monitoring plan, the general evaluation of CGE EU Curriculum, the evaluation of Teachers’ Tools, evaluation of the formative and Summative Pilots (WIAB) and Tracking and feedback loops (WIAB).
